'Found' by Cabinets of Curiosity
"What have you left behind in my lap? What dreams will wash up in the turn of the tide?"
The River Thames has always been a constant in London living, flowing steadily on through centuries of birth, life and death. Now, in a brand new performance work, objects that have been cast into the river or lost in its depths re-emerge to tell their stories, while the river itself flows on and on...
Using actors' bodies and voices to represent the forms, flows and objects of the Thames, Found is an atmospheric and intriguing piece produced by Cabinets of Curiosity, a dynamic new company, specialising in work that bridges the gap between theatre and performance art. Running cyclically throughout the Open Weekend at Trinity Buoy Wharf, in conjunction with The Story of London Festival, Found will be an opportunity for audience members to dip in and out of an ongoing performance and stay for as little or as long as they like - watching in fascination, engaging with the actors and discovering the transformative power of the River Thames.
